Not so long ago, we participated in London Tech Week, an event between 10 and 12 June 2024. We attended London Tech Week 2024 at Olympia London, a truly unique place for Tech Celebration with amazing content presented by digital marketing giants like Canva and IBM. See our short review of what happened during these few days in London.
London Tech Week, organized at Olympia London, attracted representatives from over 90 countries, showcasing their startups and established businesses. This was the place where global tech companies met and created multiple opportunities for themselves and thousands of visitors.
Key highlights from Expler about London Tech Week:
So, again, this was an excellent time to connect with the pioneers shaping tomorrow's world. Let's just say that it's not an exaggeration, as we have met many interesting people who are poised to bring a shift to today's businesses. And I mean it! We met many friendly representatives not only from Western countries but also from the Middle East. I will not surprise you by saying that London, UK, has always been a place of respect, offering opportunities to many entrepreneurs regardless of political circumstances. Therefore, this time, we had the chance to meet many companies from Palestine, South Africa, Pakistan, and, of course, the US, the UK, and many other UE countries. We truly appreciate the innovations they shared during the event.
Companies such as Canva, with their booth "Design for Work," or Grammarly, where both firms are very close to marketing teams from around the world, were present. From the first motioned company, we could hear from CEO Cliff Obrecht about their journey and desire to drive change in the digital graphic world. So, as you may see, we had a great opportunity to meet the founders of various IT companies and entrepreneurs with groundbreaking startup startups that are just stepping into the big business world.
Another group of people had an entire appetite for investments in startup startups. It was very apparent how investors were eager to gain rapid growth from new potential opportunities. Nevertheless, as corporate leaders always drive innovation across industries, this was highly visible during the event. We saw businesses on the way to exploring cutting-edge technologies and constantly seeking insights into the challenges and opportunities of the future. Anyone up there could find your next big opportunity.
The event was divided into several groups. It was where enterprises of different maturity levels met growing companies that could share the value of their experience. The diversity of the people was indeed apprehended, breaking them into nice and simple ideas.
We could meet entrepreneurs and top investors, and let's call them "the game-changing leaders of tomorrow," as Week London claimed on its site. This group was characterized by an energetic mix of people who could meet each other in the Investors & Startups meeting group section. This mix of people delivered a fantastic opportunity for each counterpart to interact with people at this cutting edge of tech innovation.
So, in short, everybody could discover how corporates are innovating and embracing emerging tech to become more productive. These descriptions of the event might sound quite generic. Therefore, focusing on our personal insights about this e, we want to emphasize that there were quite a lot of really, we call them "10 years startups startupstups". What does it mean? This term translates to small businesses that created quite nice solutions (it could be software); they survived but were never profitable enough to scale widely. And this was also a good chance for them to reach out to sponsors.
Many companies we see in the digital market now offer similar services. We observe many businesses providing AI-driven software solutions, which have quickly become very popular. It's hard to outperform companies like Canva, which have been diligent in their offerings and were among the first to enter the market. So, it's no surprise that developing something innovative is tough once you enter the market late. It is especially relevant to AI, booming and expanding across every industry.
In some cases, its adaptation is so exaggerated and irrelevant that companies try to convince people they can solve most business problems. On the other hand, we see "AI labels" presented by companies that don't use the model to improve their software's performance. Ah, there is a lot to say, but based on what we saw during the event, you can already draw some conclusions.
Short but concise: We want to keep this review exactly like this. It's always worth visiting such events, as they deliver huge value for newbies, startups, and investors. There is always a huge pool of opportunities, and anyone can reach for them.
